Norton Simon Museum
Of all the local commercials I've seen, this one is one of the classics that stuck with me forever and introduced me to classical music and art. This commericial is from the later 1970s and features a young Candice Bergen, who is one of the board of trustees for the Norton Simon Museum of Art in Pasadena, CA. The public was made aware of the newly revamped museum thanks to the late Norton Simon taking over the old Pasadena Art Museum and this ad combined the museum's finest art and the music of Mozart's 40th Symphony. The music in this ad is from the 1971 single, "Mozart 40" by the late Waldo de los Rios and has a bouncy beat.
